Hops & Grain is okay but there's not much for us to do. No playground or space to run around. It's more of a grown-up place, but the dog treats are cool!

Beer-wise, Hops & Grain excels. Their Zoe Pale Lager is a Texas classic, and the Greenhouse IPA series showcases their experimental side with constantly rotating hop combinations. Bottom line: Hops & Grain is a great brewery with excellent beer and a welcoming vibe, but it's better suited for a quick family stop than an extended outing. If your kids are patient and you're in East Austin, it's worth the visit for the beer alone.
